Per ROLAGS:

7. Repair Limitations
Both the location and the condition of the damage are important considerations in the decision to repair. Replacement is recommended under any of the following circumstances, i.e., do not repair:

• In the Driver’s Primary Viewing Area (DPVA) if:
• Diameter of damage is larger than one inch (25 mm);
• The finished pit will be greater than 3/16 inch (5 mm);
• The repair will be within 4 inches (100 mm) of another repair (see 5.1);

Do you know they are much the same rules as Belron pushed through here years ago. Although a standard they are different from out ministry test. Look at them they are ridiculous, why not less than 4 inch apart, easy the old Glass Medic kit did not like to do repairs that close, why a pit smaller than 3/16 no problem out of the drivers view, how many windshields are that clean. Why not longer than 1 inch, a nice clean star say 1 1/2 inches as we all know will come out lovely, OK maybe not in the Azone but any were else is fine.

These standards were dreamed up by replacement companies who at the time and still are useless at repairing. They were very nearly a lot tougher it is only because some of us fought and fought hard years ago that they are not.

Rant over.

If, and only if, you are a serious repairer, please read the post above. And reread it. Screenman is right.
