Marty,
I will probably use a combination of both methods. I'll use the water/alcohol to cool down the main windshield and then the DK heat exchange to cool the area of damage. I will definitely have an IR temp gun as well. Given the ridiculous temps here in AZ in the summer I think it's a necessity.

If you want to come here that would be fine, probably better if I can get a practice WS as the snowbird season is ending and my business is slowing quite a bit. We will be flying out of Phoenix the end of May so it might be possible to meet then if you want to wait that long. Also might meet half way like Gila Bend or something.

Thank you Nomad. I wouldn't make you drive to Gila Bend as I'm asking for your help. I'd made the trip down to Yuma it's a nice boring ride. I'd do it sooner rather than later too as I'm trying to decide if this is something I want to get into.
