Drilling with resin on the glass, ruin bits?
Seems like if I try to drill or re-drill a hole with resin on the glass, my bit doesn't want to work!! IDK if it's ruining them or it's just hard to drill in that circumstance.

Resin is an excellent lubricant, you can get a new bur to work but a worn one will just not do the job very well. Learning read the break correctly will lesson the amount of times you need to drill into a damage, a quality magnifying glass is useful for this. I had a guy on the phone the other day who taught to drill bulls eye break, the person who showed him that was not well skilled themselves and had no understanding of the break.

Impala -- you are packing cured resin into the gaps between the 6 little blades on your burs. If you heat the tip just right with a lighter or torch, the old resin will burn and can be wiped or brushed away - giving you some more use out of the bur.
Doesn't sound like it will work, does it? Worth a try?

I have and it does indeed work, however drilling into a wet repairs is never as easy as a dry one. I would say if you need to drill halfway through a repair then you missed something in the inspection stage, this is where for some a magnifying glass works.
