Different equipment manufacturers recommend different proceedures for curing repairs. I'd like to better understand the logic that might be used for each case. Can anyone help me with this one?

Re: Curing under pressure/no pressure/vacuum.
I use Mylar tape, pit filler.
I do not cure it while under pressure...
When repair is finished, I remove bridge, I lightly wipe the repair site, then apply a small drop of pit filler, making sure there are NO bubbles, then I apply my piece of Mylar tape and depending on where I'm doing the repair, I will either allow the natural sunlight cure the repair or I will use the Uv light.
Not exactly sure if that's what you're asking, but thats how I do it over here at ATX...

Re: Curing under pressure/no pressure/vacuum.
Thanks for the response. I cure with my injector (made by the you know who in Colorado) still under pressure only because that's how I was trained by my predecessor 4 years ago. I manage to find or create shade for all my repairs and I always use a UV light for curing. After filling and curing I remove my bridge and then use Delta pit filler and mylar with a 2nd UV exposure to finish off the repair.
I thought I've read on this forum that some manufacturers call for curing under vacuum. Some bulls eye or combination repairs appear to be totally filled under pressure and not filled (dark areas) under vacuum - thus my question.

Some MFGS promote curing under pressure I personaly use this method others like delta dont want you to do it with thier equipment I would follow what you mfg says. I use a LR injector fill completly then cycle one more time Once im sure its a filled as its gonna get I uncover and cure (I like the big yellow light in the sky instead of a uv lamp)

Re: Curing under pressure/no pressure/vacuum.
I cure under pressure, part personal preference(they look better in some cases) and part due to the science behind the resin. During the cure the resin shrinks ever so slightly (my resin supplier states a 1-2% shrinkage during cure) so having it under pressure helps to counteract the shrinkage. Like Glasstarz I cure with the most convenient of UV sources, the sun when outside, the UV lamp when in the shop.
