How to find a replacement ONLY company?

I'm looking to find a replacement company to set up some sort of referral deal. Everywhere where I looked, they are both repair and replacement. Any ideas?

A lot of replacements companies might advertise repairs but they
don't really do them or want to do them

I've found that every installer might carry a repair kit, but as mentioned... that doesn't mean they really want to use it. Some guys want to do repairs, and some will only do it if you twist their arm. Obviously, it's not likely you want to hook up with a chain store or large replacement shop... you want a small company, an owner operated deal.

To find one of the guys who doesn't chase repair, check out some dealers... find out who they use for replacements. Usually, it's not the same guy who does their repair work. Some of the small guys who service dealers do good work and offer good pricing, and some of them don't do much with repair, even if their van says so. Even a good guy to hook up with might do a repair here and there, but that's fine if they send you a good share of it.

You could have a buddy call them and ask about getting a w/s repaired that has 2 or 3 chips on it. That might tell you how interested they are in repair. Also it will tell you what they are charging for repair.

I've discovered during this past year that some of the replacement shops have a higher fee for WS repair. Normally about $60 and upward toward $110. I was told by the techs, they use that to convince the customer to spend the extra for a replacement. Vertually none of the shops here offered WS repair untill I started advertizing three years ago. I seldom advertize now. I cold call the local insurance agents, dealers and detail shops. That seems to work. I do get referrals from the TPA 's now for my area. Its a low %, but some is better than none. I call this my gravey money. Have a good weekend.
