billing issue
did 3 chips for a customer the other day. While customer was talking with sgc she said the chips happened on 2 separate days. Rep has opened a claim for each occurence. I think this is wrong. Anybody else had this happen with SGC. I'm planning on calling her agent to follow up.

Re: billing issue
I have never had that happen. Did you get two claims and two referral numbers? sounds like a newbie CSR not knowing how to handle a double date of loss. Some agents will know how to take care of it, some will not. I would probably just go to the website and cancel one of the referrals. If your conscience doesn't bother you, send in two invoices and see if they catch it. You are, after all, doing two repairs from two different occurances. You just happen to be doing them at the same time.

Re: billing issue
If they issued you two seperate referals for the work, simply handle it as two seperate jobs and bill them accordingly.

Re: billing issue
$60 + $60 is a lot better than $60 + $10.

Re: billing issue
thought about just deleting one. This was a repeat customer and just concerned they will get hit twice on their policy when it should just be one claim. Would love to bill for both but my conscience says do the right thing.

Re: billing issue
When a customer has chips with different impact dates, I suggest that they give the rep. the most recent date (as if they happened the same day).
P.S. I'm still here - although it's been many moons since my last post.

Re: billing issue
This also happened to me recently. The customer was thrilled to get me twice the pay despite the foopah. Safelite also seemed anxious to ensure that it was two separate invoices.... It all depends on what your customer wants. I would never do this without them knowing, however.

Re: billing issue
The networks don't care if they save the insurance ccompany money. They get paid twice too just like you would.

Re: billing issue
You are not at fault or cheating or being dishonest by following the tpa's setup of the two seperate claims. Do the two jobs, bill the two jobs and move on. At some point you will lose jobs to the doings of them so take what they give you!
