Re: having trouble making bullseye
How far from the visual end of crack are you drilling and popping? I normally drill 1/8" -1/4" further. Try that, it may solve your problem.specialeffects wrote:every once in a while when i drill and pop a bullseye to stop a crack from running, the crack continues to run even after the bullseye has been made, what would cause this to happen. will i have to drill and pop again or will the resin fill the extra 1/2" or so .thanks i kno you guys will have an answe"

I don't pop a bullseye at all. I drill at the tip of the crack and wallow it out a little more than normal, then back fill from that spot. Have had very few spread using this method in the last 4 years.

Re: having trouble making bullseye
I use DryStar's technique of going about 1/8th of an inch or so past the end of the crack, drill and pop. The key is to make sure you know where the crack actually ends and that you are going to drill in line with where the crack is going. You can be off a little, because the bullseye is going to be bigger than the crack fissure but you need to be pretty close. Flex from the injector end, not at the end of the crack, and pay close attention. Put your mirror underneath where you think the end is and look at the crack from different positions. Use a magnifying glass if you need to. If you drill and strike at the right place, there isn't much of a reason for the crack to run on you.
