Windshield replacement

Post by Xtir »

Hi all,

I just got my windshield replaced due to a crack going across that was growing rapidly. Local dealer is backed for weeks, so I went with a national glass company. Well, got the car back, and the HUD not displaying properly. It's barely visible even at full brightness. The HUD works fine indoors, so I drove away and didn't even noticed once I got on the road. I read my receipt and it has the glass description with the right options (F15/HUD/etc). Everything is closed until Monday, so I can't call them. Anyways, does the hud have to be calibrated or anything for new glass? I hope they didn't take me to the cleaners and put some other glass not compatible with HUD...
Thanks!

No, the HUD does not have to be calibrated.
