Auto Glass Week is just around the corner; are any forum members planning to attend or to compete in the 2015 Windshield Repair Olympics this year?

For anyone unfamiliar with the event, AGW runs from September 28th through October 2nd and the WRO will be held on September 30th and October 1st. For more info visit http://autoglassweek.com/.

I believe registration for the WRO is now closed you can still register for AGW.

WRO Cash prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place are $5000, $1000 and $500 respectively.

I wasn't there but I'm pretty sure Randy uses a GlasWeld system (he lives in Bend where GlaWeld is headquartered). Since TechniGlass and Glass Mechanix are affiliated and both Chris and Ben work for TechniGlass, I assume they use Glass Mechanix.

Well I knew I was a little behind but I didn't realize I never got around to posting a list of WRO winners in 2016 or 2017! This year there was also a competition for customer service representatives.

Here are links to the Glassbytes announcements for the winners in 2016 and 2017. Gongratulations to all of you!

I did not attend Auto Glass Week this year but it sounds like it was well attended, and for the second year in a row Delta Kits sponsored the Windshield Repair Olympics. I couldn't help but notice that the the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place competitors in the Windshield Repair Competition and Auto Glass Technician Competition were all from California and Washington, as were the grand champions of the Calibration Competition and the Customer Service (CSR) competitions. Alfredo Calva of Alfredo's Auto Glass brought home the gold in both the WRO and AGTO competitions.

You can read more on glassbytes.com or in AGRR Magazine. https://www.glassbytes.com/2022/09/2022 ... 2135245E1U

Congratulations to all!
