The best thing ....
I'm in Waco, Tx. Presently sinking into despair 'cause my repairs are, at best, dismally unprofessional
Need advice on drill bits please
WIN-1- Try to have some patience and maybe different resin. Just a suggestion from my husband who has done repairs for quite some time. Write back if maybe he can help you more.

re: drill bits
Win-1,
Dont get discouraged. Most replacement shops are only too happy to get rid of old windshields. Get some and practice on them. Use an adjustable spring loaded center punch (any hardware store, about $10 or so dollars) to make stars. Put a steel bead on a rubber band, hold it sling-shot style & let it fly, to make bullseyes. PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE! ... contact all the windshield repair suppliers and request samples. This will do 2 things for you...
1. you will have a supply of resin to practice with
2. you will discover which resins you prefer without having to purchase any of them (that's what samples are for, anyway)
Treat the time you spend practicing as your 'job' until you get your confidence built up.
Keep coming to the forums, and ask questions. Most of the regulars are happy to help.
