Re: ADAS CALIBRATION

We have looked into doing calibrations as a stand alone service as well. I'm told there are others doing this successfully but so far I haven't talked to anyone who are. nixquax, are you doing mobile calibrations or do customers have to bring the cars to you? Are you concerned about the liability? A...

I have a great deal of respect for the professionalism and dedication that every competitor in the Windshield Repair, Auto Glass Technician, Customer Service, and Calibration competitions at Auto Glass Week. Re: Windshield Repair Olympics

I did not attend Auto Glass Week this year but it sounds like it was well attended, and for the second year in a row Delta Kits sponsored the Windshield Repair Olympics. I couldn't help but notice that the the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place competitors in the Windshield Repair Competition and Auto Glass Te...

Re: Crack repair multiple failure

Sorry, missed this somehow. You've probably already talked with one of my co-workers about this but for the sake of other forum readers I'll give you my 2 cents. We have found that the size and shape of the drill bit, along with the size, shape, and sharpness of the point on the tool being used are ...

Re: Air bubbles around bullseye edges.

Gotcha. I'm not opposed to trying to cure under pressure if nothing else works, but if it is happening frequently something else is going on, especially with a bullseye. I can't tell you how many people I've talked with over the years who have said that after months or years of repairing windshields...

Re: Air bubbles around bullseye edges.

Hi Paul, As always there are a number of possibilities, but one thing you said makes something jump immediately to my mind. Are you unwinding the "piston" from the cylinder before removing the bridge from the glass? Assuming you are using a Delta Kits bridge, this would be a mistake. The injector an...

Re: Never seen Forum so inactive

We still have a lot of active readers but very few engaging these days. It might have something to do with the Pandemic or everyone being busy, but I think the reality is that most who were once active here have moved to Facebook groups, which admittedly are more suited for those who want to build r...
