SGC

I don't do a lot of Insurance work but am a member of SGC and a few others. Average price for insurance repairs is $70 flat. That's what Progressive was paying....until an email from SGC says the repair price allowed now will be $71.63! OMG, that increase will pay for a third of a gallon of gas. How...

Re: mobile or van setup for chip repair

If you are doing just chip repair all you need is a car that gets good mpg! Why would you want a larger vehicle? I use a 2017 Nissan Sentra with plenty of room for all my equipment.

Re: Rising prices

Just a follow up to my previous post. I did increase my price across the board and no body even blinked an eye!

I'm thinking of an across the board $10 increase (retail, dealerships and rentals) What I'm questioning is the rental agencies increase. If I may be so bold, what are yo...

Re: Covid-19 Shut down

I am mobile only and every single car I work on (as everybody else in this business) has been occupied by someone who I don't have a clue where they have been or if they were healthy. The vehicle likely has not been sanitiz...

Covid-19 Shut down

Hope everyone is staying healthy! Just curious, who has shut down or has remained open during the Covid-19 virus? I have been shut down for the past 4 weeks and follow Maine's Governors State shut down, as Windshield Repair is not an essential business. Still no stimulus money, unemployment benefit ...

I hope things have changed but when I installed 28 years ago, Safelite's windshields could look like this!

I was a little confused by your web site. I clicked on windshield repair and was reading about replacement.

Re: Surface Pit Repair - WA State recommendations?

Without seeing those pits I'd say both the responses are correct. If they are just surface pits there would be nothing to "repair'. They could be lightly drilled to rough up the pit so resin will adhere better, however the appearance might only be 50% better.
