Another added service
I ran across this a few years back and thought I would share. I was at a used car lot looking for a car for my daughter. I looked at one that had some strange marks on the seat, I wouldn't have noticed but there was a awful lot of them. Talking to the salesman he informed me that there was extensive...

Re: Print Advertising question
Best advertising is you workmanship. going above and beyond what is expected. For example cleaning the whole windshield after the repair not just the area worked on. All other advertising is a waste. You will have to do a lot of work to pay for the radio or newpaper ads that are generally not even n...

Re: Window Decals
This isn't too bad of a idea. I get asked all of the time " There is a rock chip in my windshield, I can't remember if this one has been fixed or maybe it was another one. If you haven't fixed it, fix it." I can't remember what I did yesterday let alone if I fixed this guys rock chip 2 years ago. I ...

Re: What were big mistakes you had as a rookie?
Back in the day we had to glue the rear view mirror mount on the winshield. Yep, I glued one upside down. I mounted the mirror upside down and customer never did notice. The slow learner that I am, I mounted one flipped over so the taper was the wrong way. No way to mount the mirror would hang on th...

Re: Back Glass removal new dodge?
Pack a lunch, it's going to be a long day. No easy method. Break out the rest of the glass in the back window if it isn't already broke and take your time. I was able to save the middle window on one. Not sure why I did it because I would never be able to install it.

You will be a contractor and a retailer. If I had to choose one it would be contractor. Re: Glass Edge Fritting
A black primer should serve well and should work, however my question to you is "is the glass safety glass". You said it was a street sweeper. The glass that you took out should have been either tempered or a laminate. I hope you don't plan on just putting plate glass in. Safety glass is more expens...

Re: Stuck wiper arms
Im been installing windshields for over 20 years. I know exactly what you are talking about. I have purchased several tools for this task. My favorite is still a battery post puller. occasionally it wont work because it wont fit in deep enough and so far I have been able to rock the wiper up and dow...

Re: Tips for Successful PDR Repair..
I have tried PDR several times and have had several PDR pros try and help me. I can get the dents about 80+ percent. The advice I keep getting most often is #1 clock the dent out. Start on the outer edge and work in a circular area slowly working tward the center. #2 Don't try to push too much too f...
