Re: Camera Calibration on vehicles
It's important to point out that the Manufactures/Dealers state that if a generic part is used (Windscreen) or a generic calibration tool used to reset the system. The the warranty is void. This is not to say it would not work, just they can't support other suppliers parts and fair enough too. Same ...

Re: Cracks
We too underpin our work with a lifetime warranty. However, we also install windscreens as well. The deal is if the windscreen chip spreads we subtract the price of the chip off a replacement windscreen, therefor making the chip free. Alternatively we refund. Perhaps other repairers could share with...

Re: CREDIT CARDS
We use Paypal Here. It's a small lightweight terminal that connects to your smart phone via Bluetooth. We have been using it for about a year now and it works well for us. Service 8® was one of the first to get one in Australia as we have been using Paypal for many years so they nominated us and oth...

Re: DELTA KITS WINDSHIELD REPA[R
I think it would be fair to point out even as bias as I am toward Delta Products that all conditions being equal, i.e, damage size, skill of technician then most professional windshield repair kits would produce good results. However, for me Delta has a produced a product that is simple to use, repa...

Re: Professional Memberships and Certifications
I guess I can finally break the seal and post something. I've had my business(PDR and Glass Repair) open now just shy of two years. I am not full-time at this point. I havent read much into professional memberships or national level certifications. For the glass repair industry. Are there any that ...

Re: Exposing hidden rust under car windshields
We did take a look at this one. We found it interesting that the technician did not even bother to remove the wipers and cowel panel for the news feed. He just installs it by sliding the glass down on the adhesive. I guess some technicians have been taking short cuts for so long that it all becomes ...

Re: Windshield repair business in Florida
I like that story Brent, The high end market is a little more difficult to crack. You need good communication, confidence and quality. If you can get there, its the most satisfying, IMO. For me the windscreen market, repair or replacement has alway been broken down into three groups, high, middle, l...

Chips not filling - Viscosity ratings
Id like to ask a question on behalf of a customer enquiry I received the other day. He mentioned he had been having difficulty with the Magnibond Resin filling some star chips during the winter months and he wondered if it had anything to do with the viscosity. As you guys know the Magnibond has a r...

Re: Delta Kits UV Light
Hi HBCC, When we spoke about the UV Lamp and it failing, as you can appreciate we have to ask questions to clarify what you are using as a power source, as these Lamps are 12v ONLY. During our conversation I was pointing out that not all sockets in vehicles are 12v and some may not be fused correctl...
