Re: Insurance billing and Invoices

csteffy00, I'm going to assume you are in the USA. I'll agree with all of what Screenman posted accept regarding insurance work. Some of us on this forum do a substantial amount of ins. work and others just a little here and there. Some join the networks and others do not. I not sure what expenses S...

Re: Keeping resin warm

Good point Screenman, all the more reason to bring up the temperature of the windshield prior to repair!Nothing worse than working on a cold piece of glass. Techs need to follow their safe and normal procedure for warming the glass. My post or opinion was only about keeping resin warm if one prefers...

Re: LIABILITY INSURANCE FOR US

SuperGlassDC,
I hope you are not saying that if you break a windshield while doing a repair that your liability insurance will pay for a new one?

Re: DELTA KITS WINDSHIELD REPA[R

Screenman, I don't think that answer has anything to do with the question. We all know you use Delta.

Re: Clean drilled injection site before repairing

I've been using a rubber bulb syringe for years with great results (blowing out the pit area). Not a good tool to use for eliminating moisture. You've got to use some heat to evaporate the moisture from inside the break.

Re: Scratch Removal

Thanks Brent,
Probably should have posted both of those in the water cooler but I couldn't resist! We're all too serious most of the time.

Re: Scratch Removal

I enjoy scratch removal...if I can't reach it with my hand I grab my hook tool out my tool box! Works great for that hard to reach area in between your shoulder blades.

Re: Accidentally drilling all the way through

I agree with all the above responses, but that being said , what is the "definition" of a windshield repair? Is it not to prevent the windshield from cracking further and not needing it to be replaced/pass State inspection?
