Re: All this talk about curing lights, what i'd really like

I use the Dremel Model 7300 ; sold by DK.
It works just fine. Never had a problem with it.
If it ain't broke; dont fix it.
When I was a child my teachers in elementary school, always reminded us that "a bad workman blames his tools"

Re: All this talk about curing lights, what i'd really like

Actually I have a whole bunch of Delta cure lights.
This year I hung them on the christmas tree instead of the regular lights.
I have an amazing tan for this time of the year. :ugeek:

Re: Pit Polish

If you want your repair to be even less visible and harder to find; use pit polish.
A thirty second shine with pit polish and a paper towel works great.
A five second shine with pit polish and a polishing wheel will achieve the same results.

Re: Need some help from the pros

Why not just go to Home Depot etc and buy an adjustable automatic center punch?

Re: What is the best drill size and voltage, Such as dremel

Time for a new battery, if you can find one.
I opened my battery packs up and replaced the batteries inside them.
Knowing how to solder can be an asset.

Re: Quickfixxrepair

If you drive 60 miles each way, you use 4 gallons of fuel and 2 hours of time ; not including the 40 minutes for the repair.
Can you make a profit doing that?

Re: What is the best UV shield

I like the bubble, because you can see clearly what you are working on and you have plenty of room to reach under it to make adjustments to your injector, or to probe crack legs.. Its also an attention getter. People think it looks "high tech". The bubble does not work well on van, or truck windshie...

Re: Does a LED flashlight give off UV light?

Hardly likely!
Otherwise everyone would be using LED flshlights instead of cure lights.

Re: INSURANCE COMPANYS CHECKING ON WINDSHIELD ROCK CHIP REPA

I did a re- repair last week.
The original repairman drilled a big hole at the impact point of the star break and then filled that drill hole.
All four legs were left unfilled.
I see this all the time.
Maybe its a good thing for insurance companies to check on workmanship.

Re: Surface Pits on Windshields

If you fill a surface pit, will the resin stay attached to the glass permanently?
Personally, I doubt it.
