Re: Safelite Help
In my disclaimer at bottom of invoice it states "customer will pay any fees not covered by insurance." I do the repair anyhow because experience has shown coverage will most likely be confirmed within a day or two. When "no coverage" comes back then I call them for payment. Most people are honest an...

Re: Tent Success WSR
I only do work for fleet and dealers, which is why I do not bill insurers. I like turning up doing 4 or 5 jobs and then getting off again as quick as possible, great thing about our trade is the different ways to earn a great living out of it.

Re: Month 3 down
I am glad to hear that you are in good health or at least not visiting the ER. Thanks for asking the question, I look forward to hearing the professional advice that I am certain you will get. I am just getting into this so I don’t consider myself qualified to provide any comments related to your si...

Re: Month 3 down
Another option is to work out a deal with a glass shop, or body shop, that does not do repairs. Most auto glass shops do repairs but a few still do not and many don't specialize in repairs. Most body shops still don't do repairs but do replacements and bill insurance companies. When I had my glass s...

Re: Paying Employees
Doing your own payroll is not all that difficult if you are using QuickBooks or something similar, but if you are feeling overwhelmed I think using a payroll service can be beneficial and really isn't all that expensive and may allow you to focus on generating revenue. PayChex, ADP, and QuickBooks, ...

Re: HELP Hand problems
First stop getting resin on your hands or anywhere on your skin or clothing. Clean everything you touch to get rid of resin build up. Even the steering wheel in your car. My daughter couldn't drive my car because she would get blisters on her hands from my steering wheel. I still get sloppy with the...

Re: S CORP VS OTHERS
We are an S-Corp as well but you can also form an LLC and elect to be treated as an S-Corp, which is probably what I would do if just starting out. I agree that talking with an accountant is best.

Re: HELP Hand problems
Mine start out as little bumps like you said, then turn into blisters, then just raw skin. I quit wearing gloves, they just seemed to make it worse. Tried many different types of gloves, still had better luck not wearing any and just being careful not to get any resin on me and washing my hands and ...

Re: Side Glass Repair?
Yes, the repair is the same, pretty much. You need to compensate for the glass being more vertical. It's a little harder to keep the resin at the end of the injector depending on what equipment you're using. I have not had any problems billing insurance, just specify laminated side glass.
