Re: Delta Kits UV Light
Hi HBCC, When we spoke about the UV Lamp and it failing, as you can appreciate we have to ask questions to clarify what you are using as a power source, as these Lamps are 12v ONLY. During our conversation I was pointing out that not all sockets in vehicles are 12v and some may not be fused correctl...

Re: Resin viscosity score
Is there some information / documentation, so I may learn about the different viscosity of resins, their uses and why I should be using one over the other? One question I do believe may be able to be answered right now for me is: If I had 2 pit resins, one rated at 1000 and one rated at 3000. Once ...

Re: Let's here your plan for this damage!
I don't recommend tapping a bull's-eye that close to the edge. Even the smallest chips at the edge can cause an edge crack. I had a chip similar to this one along the black area on the edge (a star without the secondary bulls), and it wouldn't fill even after drilling. So, I tried tapping a bull's-e...

Re: Let's here your plan for this damage!
HBCC I've never cracked a chip out by using slide hammer on original break. That being said there are additional stresses from heat and manufacturing on edge of w/s so proceed with caution. The only chips I've had grow with slide hammer are from drilling tips. I've had 17 w/s crack out in 11 years.....

Re: american windshield repair systems
Never from the inside, for one the heat has to go too far before it starts to have an effect. Also have a think about what happens when the inside glass expands before the outside one, and the effect is like pulling the crack or chip apart. Heating from the inside to dry out is extremely ineffective...

Re: Quick question about very a very small chip
If that happened I would drill into the wet resin using a brand new bur, the trouble is the resin is a great lubricant so anything other than a new bur will normally just slip. A method I would use more often in these cases is to tap the pit with a sharp carbide tipped scribe, this will open up the ...
