Re: Lance Armstrong
The damage this man has done to the world of cycling is immense. There are numerous issues involved in the debacle, but, for me, the biggest damage has been done to the future of cycling and the resulting inspiration it should be passing on to young riders. The "doping" shadow will linger long, tain...

Re: Pit Polish
My story may be a little off track here but may help. A few years ago I crushed one of my fingernails, the nail turned blood red and the throbbing pain was excruciating. I went to my local accident unit, the nurse took one look, got a paper clip, straightened it out, heated it up until it glowed red...

Re: Pit Polish
The single edge blades I use to scrape off the excess resin come housed in a piece of protective cardboard. I use this as my polishing pad.

Re: Benson Windshields
No direct experience of Benson but a quick search on the web shows the glass probably originates from China, whereas Pilkington is probably US manufactured. I don't know who is the OEM manufacturer for your Toyota, a quick look at the badge on the windscreen or doorglasses should tell you who it is.

Re: Stuck wiper arms
I feel your pain. I can't recommend any specific tool but if you go on " You Tube" and search for "Wiper arm removal tool" , there are a some different design tools, being demonstrated, which might be of more use to you.

Re: Lil buddy, a good purchase.
A lot of fitters have said to me that using a device like a "Buddy" is a waste of time, saying that by the time you have set it up you could have " thrown" the glass over and completed the job. Well all I can say to that is, that's fine, if you only intend to be in the job for a short time but if yo...

Re: Tiny Chip to 3" Crack...Grrr
Another possibility is stressed glass. During the manufacture of the windshield, the glass may have cooled too quickly at the end of the process. This might cause stress inside the glass which could affect the repair. Less of a problem nowadays with improvements in manufacture but I have experienced...

Re: Chip repair cosmetics
The milky cloudiness you refer to will more than likely be the interlayer between the layers of glass. If the repair is not done immediately after the damage happens, water can seep into the damaged area and, over a period of time, react with the interlayer causing it to return to its original colou...
